In general, the Zone has had a great running discussion of the various issues. And if you're on twitter, do check out Brian McPherson and Elle Rose, among others doing a careful analysis of the court documents and evidence that has surfaced so far.
Happy October, folks! . It's been a relatively quiet month, other than some photos and quick clips from the film festivals and Jeff Beck shows.
This month, I hope we hear more about Waiting For the Barbarians- when will it be released in theaters? Same for Minamata. And I do hope something finally happens with City Of Lies. And I'm sure there will be some lawsuit drama . Let's see what October brings!

About that upper video- that's a new song that Johnny wrote with Tommy Henriksen, "A Song About Hedy Lamarr." This is all kinds of cool-- Hedy was a beautiful actress who also happened to be an inventor. She and a partner received a patent for a technology called frequency hopping that became the basis for our modern wi-fi. Never got paid a dime for that, by my understanding . Anyway, someone on Tumbler has shared the story of the song. Find it from this twitter link:
Catching up on some of the recent photos from the last few days, most from IFOD twitter to make it easier. But check out both IFOD and Depp Lovers twitter pages for tons of photos- probably lots of stuff on the Zone, as well.
Venice Film Festival - Waiting For The Barbarians premiere:

The Deauville screening of Waiting For The Barbarians, including Catherine Deneuve presenting Johnny with a special tribute honor
So I finally rented the DVD and saw it this past week. What a hot mess I don't know how much the script changed from Johnny's version, but perhaps aided by the few scenes that exist and the amazing Lost In La Mancha, I could totally picture Johnny in this. My reaction when it was over was that it wasn't really my thing. But I haven't stopped thinking about it and it replays in my mind, so maybe I liked it better than I think I did . Anyway, mostly I am just happy tor Gilliam that he was finally able to finish the darn thing!
