The core of any comedy is (someone else's) human suffering. No kidding. That's why we laugh so hard.

I saw PE last night for the second and last time in the theater. Throughout the movie, I was taking mental notes on which parts I'm going to make amimations from when I get my hot little hands on the dvd.

No, I don't think they'll try to make that scene funny. I know the rest of the movie will be darkly funny, like HST's writing is funny, with bite and edge.... and then the woman gets carried off by a crowd of men. Drunk, stupid and slutty though she may be, it's just not something I have the stomach for. I wish it wasn't IN's first production.
