I shouldn't say that, I'm not most parents, or any parents. I think my parents would
I am glad to see this discussion about the rating. My 2 boys 8 and 10 REALLY wanted to see this movie. Could be a little bit because I have talked about it for so long. ;D
Or it could be because they think shoot outs and things are cool!
Anyway, my parents went to see it before me and they saw no reason why it was rated R. I did take my 2 boys to see it and they totally enjoyed it. Although I have to admit they probably didn't follow the plot very well. But there really is no reason it should be rated R. I counted one F*** word in the whole movie.
I haven't posted my review yet either because work has been CRAZY busy. But I like most of you have mixed feelings. I think all of the actors in the movie were amazing! I think they all did an amazing job. Johnny of course was as always, unbelievable. The emotions on his face are so raw and real. Marion was also amazing. I think the most moving part of the whole movie was when Billie gets arrested. From an acting standpoint, Johnny's acting in the car was so moving. All the emotions on his face and her acting at the police station was so emotional. Like someone else said, I wanted to get up and punch the guy out who was interrogating her!
However, I did read the book before and the movie did just skim the surface. My husband also went and said there were parts he enjoyed but overall didn't really like the movie. He thought is was slow and skipped around to much.
I really want to see it again. Maybe without the kids so I can really sit and take it all in.
Get along little doggie, get along...... (come on you all know you want to sing) get along little doogie get along....
That song gets stuck in your head and you can't get it out!
