Could be, in which case my excitement for this has waned a wee bit. Also, according to MTV, Isla Fisher will play a lizard, not a human. So, until we hear something concrete, I'm treating all of this with the usual grain(s) of salt.
Ya know , the more I read about Rango the more excited I get. I am an animal person (3 cats, 1 dog, fish, snake and host of holy untouchables -- nice bugs). The thought of Johnny as an animal, expecially a pet is so totally him -- the expressions, the mannerisms. It is perfect, brilliant. I don't care what kind of animal he is -- it is going to be spectacular He will be funny, endearing -- our Johnny. Aww, what a great idea

I have my own STAR (I am easily pleased by small things -- thank you!!!!)
Go look at the book online at Amazon--one of those you can see inside. Oh my god, what funny pictures!! The best, if you can get it to come up: dog's tongue goes through both the sleeping husband and wife. It took a minute for me to figure out what the h*ll I was looking at, this long rope extending over and thru the sleeping pair.
If this is what they are using I can't wait to see this movie!
A small detail: IMDb now shows the status of Rango as "filming" (rather than pre-production). The cast list is still not up to date- Alfred Molina, Harry Dean Stanton, Bill Nighy and others aren't listed yet, and they show folks named Kym Whitley and Chris Parson who I haven't seen mentioned yet. So yeah, IMDb is imperfect and behind and inaccurate and all that, but even so, I like to see when it shows a film progressing
