I don't know if this is actually true, but I have the impression that Johnny doesn't waste a drop of his time. He seems to always be either with his people building his relationships, reading Great Books, or creating something. Respect, and envy envy envy. On the other hand, maybe he'd envy my enormous talent for doing nothing.
You guys have about covered it, but I'll add 2 more: 1. No matter how many of the zillions of videos you might see of Johnny meeting his fans (at premieres, before or at the end of a long filming day -- at 3am or in the snow, rain, or heat -- in a tiny Midwestern town or puerto Rico --), you will never see him anything but gracious to his fans. True, he has Jerry to be bad cop when necessary, but still -- people grab at him, scream in his face, and he never looks annoyed or pushes anyone away impatiently. Even if it involves a lot of "acting" gracious when he doesn't feel it (and who knows what he says behind closed doors), you'd think there'd be ONE moment when he loses it. He said on that very early "Insider" interview (sleeveless black shirt, raises right arm deliciously) that being recognized & acknowledging fans goes with the territory, is part of the job, but I think he always goes above and beyond with his fans and that, combined with all the rest, just kills me! 2. There are a lot of different ways Johnny laughs but the one which I love (and which surprised me) is in a sweeny, behind the scenes waltz scene with Helena -- it's a very musical laugh, beautiful!
