I guess this is technically something for the "Other Films" thread in "Off Topic", but that's what I love about Deppography-- we're a little lenient about what goes where
Looks like Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is finally at the filming stage. (Again). Jonathan Pryce (From Pirates of the Caribbean and Game of Thrones fame ) and Adam Driver, (who is hot hot hot right now, having recently starred in Silence, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Midnight Special and others ) play the leads. I wonder if this has already filmed more than the 7 or so days that Johnny's version had gotten done Anyway, it'll be interesting to see the completed film (if it gets completed ) and wonder how it might've been if Johnny and Jean Rochefort had ever been able to complete it!
(And a small part of me secretly hoped that maybe this film would be delayed so many times that Johnny would eventually be old enough to play Don Quixote )
Entire 'Fast and Furious' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Franchises to Be Shown at 7th Beijing International Film Festival
The previous installments in both the Fast and Furious and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises will screen in the out of competition section of this year’s Beijing International Film Festival, it was announced this week.
The inclusion of the first four movies in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is the surest sign yet that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will score a release in the world’s second-largest film market.
Disney shared a poster and a trailer for the upcoming film on its official Weibo account this week, in another sign the film is heading for the Chinese market. The previous Pirates movie, On Stranger Tides, earned RMB 476 million (USD 69 million) in China in 2011.
still waiting the release date in China to be announced. I really hope it will be released the same day of most markets worldwide, otherwise the china boxoffice will be highly jeopardized by the late release.
Ok a bit random but since there is no other news The delicious Tom Wlaschiha who plays Jaqen H'ghar in Game of Thrones took part in one of these "favourite films" segments on his native German tv. Two of Johnnys films were mentioned. Made me love Jaqen even more, when I see him on screen I think of Johnny with that shock of white hair he sported back in the From Hell days.
Thanks taip. You know, you listen to someone speaking a language you barely understand and yet, the person sounds as though he is speaking your language, the casual style, the gestures. It is as if he is speaking your language but you haven't sufficiently tuned him in.
“You would think with us three guys there would be a lot of ego involved, because we’re all alpha males,” Cooper said. “There was never one moment where anybody took the lead and said, ‘This is how we’re going to do it.’ Never an argument, just always fun. I know Johnny’s doing five movies this year. And Joe Perry is finishing up Aerosmith and I’m doing this show. Next year we can all go out and do a major tour.”
